Pre-Kindergarten

Pre K Care Programs in Powell, Hilliard, Upper Arlington, Worthington, New Albany, Grandview, Dublin, Columbus and surrounding areas.  At the Barrington School, our prekindergarten classes are focused on honing the multitude of skills that your child has developed while in our preschool program.  Barrington’s experienced teachers take great care to tailor their weekly themes and lesson plans to meet the needs and interests of their individual students. 

Each classroom’s schedule is structured to create opportunities for student-led discovery while incorporating various cross-curricular activities.  This approach allows students to apply, integrate, and transfer knowledge across academic disciplines. Furthermore, this approach helps them to see the value of learning and to be more engaged in their classroom community.

With the understanding that all students learn differently and at varying rates, our teachers utilize classroom time to engage each young mind in differentiated activities. We focus on kindergarten readiness skills such as: beginning writing, letter recognition, phonemic awareness, counting and cardinality, and reading readiness. Our specialized approach to the education of young children will enable your child to become an independent thinker, a confident learner, and a strong contributor to their community.  Organic Lunches and Snacks, Spanish, music, gymnastics and Dance classes.
